Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of Beacon, the car-search service at thanksbeacon.com. By using Beacon, you agree to these terms.
What Beacon does
Beacon helps you search for vehicles across third-party marketplaces and set “beacon” watches that alert you by email when a matching car is listed. Beacon is a search and alert tool — we are not a party to any vehicle transaction, we do not sell vehicles, and we do not broker, inspect, or guarantee any listing.
Listings come from third parties
Listing details (price, mileage, photos, availability, condition) originate from third-party sources and their sellers. We do not control or verify this information and cannot guarantee it is accurate, current, or available. Always independently verify a vehicle and its seller before making any purchase or payment. Any AI-generated guidance Beacon provides is informational only and is not professional, mechanical, financial, or legal advice.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to use Beacon only for lawful, personal, non-commercial car shopping.
- You agree not to scrape, resell, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service, or to access it through automated means without our permission.
Availability
Beacon is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee that alerts will be delivered for every matching listing or without delay.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a vehicle transaction, a third-party listing, or reliance on information provided through the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Beacon after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
